Post-Election Thoughts

So pre-election blogging, letter writing, posting done. I feel a bit hollow. And disillusioned as many feel. Probably very much like 50% plus of the country who voted, winning the popular vote for Hillary. Such a spectacular figure in Donald J. Trump.

Is it possible Donald Trump shows some compassion? For the progress we have made in rights for women, for people of all colors who have come to this country of immigrants, in progress to protect the environment and climate, in attempts to forge a global community? (Even despite obvious growing pains and challenges).

I hope so. I hope he does drain the swamp in Washington. I hope term limits are enacted for Congress members. I hope the ridiculous pensions for Congress members are reduced. 

i hope the lobbyist influence is greatly diminished if not removed. 

Our Democracy was not enancted to protect special interests over the people.

People have voted him in. Some say it's a con job, and he is already installing insiders.

I hope he does manage to prove us wrong.

And helps the middle and lower classes more the wealthy.

And follows through on the promises above.

And protects the rightful progress we have made and sacrificed for here in America on issues as above.

Perhaps he over achieves in these. I hope so.
