Major blow to Fast Tracking the TPP: trade bill defeated in House - The Washington Post

Winners and losers in the House trade vote - The Washington Post

Like it, alot. The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) as it stands, stinks, and is a giveaway to corporate interests, cancer-causing monoliths like Monsanto, and other nefarious companies that could take a poo on US sovereignty -- and US workers and environmental rights, etc. Separately, terrible, terrible things and taken all together absolutely not acceptable. This one definitely can't be Fast Tracked. As it is it certainly needs to be untracked.

Sierra Club executive director Michael Brune released a statement
saying:”This is a major victory for everyone who thinks trade should be
fair and responsible. The era of free trade deals that harm workers and
the environment is coming to a close. Now, we must bury fast track and
trade deals that threaten our air, water and climate, once and for all,
and start fresh to build a new model of trade.”
