gulfnews : London riots symptoms of a deeper malaise
Capitalism, when tilted to benefit the top of the pyramid, must level behavior to bring up the basement.
Else the foundation weakens, and will crumble and burn up the system.
"Government needs to work with community leaders to deal with poverty and inequality"
"But police action is not the whole answer. These riots can only come from people who feel that society has failed them, and the grim effects of the recession are biting deep into the structure of society. This is where Cameron's coalition government will need to find a new way to energise the inner cities, and set them back on the path to prosperity."
My comment in the Atlantic on population:
ReplyDeletePopulation is ultimately one of the biggest problems, perhaps the biggest; we must curtail population growth, particularly in poorer countries, while at the same time balancing population, resources, and standard of living. Einstein always praised the harmony of universal systems after peering into the engine - he have to figure a way to live more harmoniously on this Earth, sustainably, too. http://colbyallerton.blogspot....
