Malthus and the Future of Food - NYTimes.com

Reverend Malthus and the Future of Food - NYTimes.com

Spend a little time thinking about food, population increases, and planning / action now, to create a more hospitable world and existence for our progeny in the near future. It is time well spent, and should be revisited regularly with thought and action. I.e, "Am I minimizing my footprint? Am I supporting energy and policies that will make resources and infrastructure supportable, available and sustainable for all the generations to come? Try to be more on board, and make choices, like buying local and/or organic food and products, buying products without excessive packaging, recycling, and reducing and greening your energy consumption, when presented with the opportunities."

“I kind of buy into the idea that humans can do whatever they set their minds to do,” said David Lobell, a Stanford University researcher on climate change and agriculture. “But adaptation is going to require people actually doing stuff. It’s not going to magically happen.”
