CO2 Gets Stoned: Method Turns Harmful Gas Into Solid

CO2 Gets Stoned: Method Turns Harmful Gas Into Solid

This is incredibly promising, trapping CO2 using natural processes. In some cases taking only months.

Finding the areas for this important but apparently not uncommon--the process needs special rocks and water to precipitate CO2 into a solid. And the process needs vetting to make sure algae etc. do not break down (too quickly) such formations and release the CO2 again.

Need much more research and development of CO2 trapping technologies, in addition to stopping pouring the stuff into the atmosphere already.
