Antarctic glaciers melting 'passed point of no return'

Antarctic glaciers melting 'passed point of no return'

And some say there is no problem. Four feet of sea level rise, just here.

"The vast glaciers of western Antarctica are rapidly melting and
losing ice to the sea and almost certainly have "passed the point of no
return," according to new work by two separate teams of scientists.

The likely result: a rise in global sea levels of 4 feet or more in the
coming centuries, says research made public Monday by scientists at the
University of Washington, the University of California-Irvine and NASA's
Jet Propulsion Laboratory."

Tell Google CEO Larry Page: Drop ALEC | Forecast the Facts

Stand with Me as I Tell Google CEO Larry Page: Drop ALEC | Forecast the Facts

Fricken' ridiculous that Google would support such a backwards conservative lobbying group like ALEC.

They've got to get out of funding ALEC. This is awful PR, and an awful choice for Google. What the face of progress looks like. "...NV Energy, proposed to shut down three units at Reid Garner coal-fired power plant that
generate 300 megawatts by the end of this year and retire the other 257
megawatts in 2017. As Reid Gardner is mothballed, the utility will
acquire two existing natural gas power plants as well as photovoltaic
power plants producing 215 megawatts of carbon-free electricity, and
will put out bids for the construction of another 300 megawatts of
renewable energy. NV Energy will also sell its ownership stake in
another coal-fired power plant that routinely ranks as one of the
nation’s worst polluters...."
