Late Month Bad Clipboard, and Donald Trump's Lying Ways Debate

When you've been a card carrying misogynist and sexist for as long as Donald Trump, ooo wee! Can it look bad. Denigrating and dehumanizing a Miss Universe here and telling his golf course here to hire only hot women is pretty awesome -- if you are the Don! Per the article and as widely noted, Don calling women 'fat pigs' and 'dogs.' Wow! That's some ugly, sexist, selfish, gluttonous (greedy, insatiable) unacceptable behavior from Donald Trump! Ooo wee Don, you go!!!

And how much ink to spill about the debate? It was predictable. Donald Trump lied and lied and then made stuff up and exaggerated and showed himself to be himself. Wow! I could go on, but I don't want to give him material on which he could improve. Go Don!

Here's a scorecard of the debate here 'True' or 'Mostly True': 50% for Hillary Clinton, 15% for Donald Trump. Wow!

Here's another scorecard of Donald's misrepresentations, misunderstandings, and lies. Here Wow!

Clinton’s ‘nasty’ Trump ads are mostly his own words

Yes, Donald Trump did call climate change a Chinese hoax

During the debate when Hillary called him on it, he said, "I did not — I do not say that. I do not say that."

And of course he said that, here's his own tweet:

Without question one of he most daunting and crucial issues the world faces today, and the shyster can't even keep his fabrications straight. The fact that such an obviously disingenuous and blatantly heartless man ever rose past a two-bit con artist is sad. It's really so painfully clear what a jester he is. Sad moments for him, simply tragic for the Republican Party and brand. Hopefully not the country.

Late Month Good Clipboard

Here    David Letterman is green, eco and passionate for solar panels. Wow, seemed he always had a lot of humanity under the humor. Nice.

Here George HW Bush said he's 'to vote for Clinton.' I guess it's not too late to make some good changes in direction. Like the muscle tone article and link a few posts down in this blog, even late in life shifts in outlook or behavior can have immense positive effects.

Here Sometimes a good idea needs time and scrutiny. Fleece jackets made from plastic bottles sounded great: now we find out that washing them breaks out microfibers that are really bad for the environment. We need to constantly get smarter and less impactful on our environment as we progress and the population grows.

Personal Sustainability: KEEP Muscle TONE & Keep Cardio for Advanced Fitness & Longevity

Here

Study shows muscle tone--and mitochondria--are critical to keeping optimal health, avoiding disease, and maintaining good energy as we age. Balance, the age-old mantra, rears its (subtly intuited) head yet again: cross train with muscle exercise as well as cardio. As well as flexibility, to keep functioning at your higher levels as long as you can. Sedentary can kill. These are self-fulfilling prophecies. And it's never to late to work on muscle tone and get the added benefits! Note to self: prioritize the gym and weights at home higher, please!!

Earth Passes 400ppm of CO2 In the Atmosphere... Forever? Can We Reverse It?

Here

"But this September, CO2 levels are staying high, at around 400 parts per million, and many scientists think that we will not see levels of the greenhouse gas drop below that threshold within our lifetimes." Motherfuckers, us carbon addled monkeys. Mankind, shoving the Sixth Great Extinction event into being, one car ride, coal plant, and fracked or tar-sanded desperate fossil fuel pipeline at a time. #lovefortheplanet #whendoeslovebeatgreed

Ted Cruz Chooses Donald Trump Over Wife, Dad - The Daily Beast

WOW! A man of non-principle. What could be worse than whole-heartedly rejecting Donald Trump and then being forced to support him? Wow is this ugly.

The Bad and the Ugly -- Donald Trump and the GOP, Week of September 20, 2016

The GOP died this weekend - The Washington Post

"Those Republicans mortified by the presidential nomination of Donald
Trump have been pondering a series of questions over the past few
months:

  • Have Republicans put party above country in backing Trump?
  • Can the GOP survive Trump?
  • Should the center-right let bygones be bygones after the election?"

President Obama: Stop The Dakota Access Pipeline -- Sign Petition

Here

Well, it sure seems life is interconnected. Could one rest well knowing a loved one's or another family's health, well-being, even their water, was being thrown in the 'expendable' trash bin? No. These people deserve better. They've taken enough of the 'invaders' sins. They deserve to have their ancestral lands and water protected from oil pipelines. They do not deserve a leaking, cancer causing, greed inspired, white man's short term destructive folly of a power source. They do not need nor should they tolerate fossil fuel pipelines traversing their land. They, and we, deserve better. #respecttheelders #respecttheland #respectourwater

Neil Young just wrote this: "Indian Giver"

There’s a battle raging on the sacred land
Our brothers and sisters have to take a stand
Against us now for what we all been doing
On the sacred land there’s a battle brewing

I wish somebody would share the news

Now it’s been about 500 years
We keep taking what we gave away
Just like what we call Indian givers
It makes you sick and gives you shivers

I wish somebody would share the news

Big money going backwards and ripping the soil
Where graves are scattered and blood was boiled
When all who look can see the truth
But they just move on and keep their groove

I wish somebody would share the news

Saw Happy locked to the big machine
They had to cut him loose and you know what that means
That’s when Happy went to jail
Behind big money justice always fails

I wish somebody would share the news

Bring back the days when good was good
Lose these imposters in our neighborhood
Across our farms and through our waters
All at the cost of our sons and daugthers

Our brave sons and daughters
We’re all here together fighting poison waters
Standing against the evil way
That’s what we have at the end of day

I wish somebody would share the news

Climate Change to Opioids: Presidential Candidates Answer 20 Science Questions -- Live Science

Here

On Climate Change: "Clinton said the science of climate change is "crystal clear" and the issue is "an urgent threat and a defining challenge of our time." The Democratic candidate outlined her plan to address the issue, which focused on making America "the clean-energy superpower of the 21st century."

That's pretty good. Probably not enough, but getting on the onramp of the road on which we need to be.

For Trump, well, let's just say for all we know see post below about mass extinction number six--this one man-made. And delivered hot from the global warming oven by the Republican Party and Fossil Fuel Industries.

"For Trump, the issue of climate change was referred to in quotation marks. He said, "There is still much that needs to be investigated in the field." While the candidate noted the need for new energy sources to alleviate America's dependence on fossil fuels, he did not directly respond to how he would tackle the issue of climate change if elected. Instead, Trump offered alternative uses for the country's limited financial resources, such as increasing food production or fighting malaria."

Sunset, Venice 12/20/2012

Sunset, Venice 12/20/2012
I've been thinking some about the Winter Solstice, the Mayan end of the 30,000-year-cycle on 12/21/12.

What if in fact the world did end? Even though this probably will not happen, to live consciously it is honest for us to take a bit of an inventory.

Am I happy with how I've lived my life? (Yesterday, I thought mostly yes, with some areas for improvement, as below.) Are there changes I would make?
Would I have tried to forgive those that were hostile or disappointing to me?
Would I spend more time with those I loved the most, telling them that, feeling that more?
Would I be happier, grateful for what I have, what I've experienced, the joy, the beauty in this world?

Maybe the answer is yes to all of the above.
So this time can serve as a point of rebirth for all of us. If we think about it.

Because somewhere along the line I realized I think maybe mankind deserves it. !
The way we are killing each other, killing the planet.
How selfish we are, and snotty to those around us. Petty, competitive. Why is this? Do we have to behave this way? (I say no, it greatly detracts and misdirects energy from the full-time celebration in which we could engage, the great multi-cultural, multi-rhythmic dance we can sustain here.)

Maybe God or the Great Universe is fed up, and will pull the rug out from under us.
Don't think I can say we could blame Him/Her/It.

But it probably won't happen. (Probably not! This time.)

Still we are finite on this ride.

It is a time to think, am I happy with how I've lived my life?
Hopefully most of us can say yes.

For the part of us that have a little worry, a little sadness....
This is the time to be present.
This is the time to be the person you want to be, that can die at peace, that can hope to every day be able to look yourself and the Universe in the eye and say, how beautiful, smiling, and thank you. Let's do that.
